multiseptated cyst

is it possible that I have a multiseptated ovarian cyst:  I had a COMPLETE hystroectomy 54 years ago, and now have what the doctor is telling me is an ovarian cyst that is probably cancer. Everything was removed 54 years ago; uterus, cervix, ovaries, appendix, and anything else that was in the way.  Now, this doctor is telling me that the ovary may have grown back ?????is this possible ?
I will demand further tests before I will let anyone do surgery for cancer/chemo therapy.
I feel this is a misdiagnosis. what are your thoughts on this.
Dee
