Happy Wednesday Ladies... (and gents)...

Mom was in the hospital for a staph infection and port infection for the last two weeks... tons of antibiotics... and now her right kidney is enlarged.... the did a procedure yesterday and found her right kidney had blockage... put in a stint...

tell me...

is this typical? could this mean a tumor?

hope you are all well.

I do not know much about your moms problems, but I wanted to wish her well. I hope that they get these latest problems taken care of and she can get home and start feeling better.

It might ot might not be a small tumor.  I have had some problems in the area of my gall bladder and common bile duct.  It continues to expand and they don't know why.  I have had all the dx tests that can be done and all is clear.  Ask her Dr. what he thinks or ask him to investigate this.  I hope your Mom feels better soon.(((hugz))~~Joanne

I think there can be other reasons than cancer blocking the kidney. You should probably ask them what the cause is. My mom had a stent for reduced blood flow to the kidney  yrs ago. Hope she gets better soon ,    Donna
