you can also go to the AMA website and check on a doctors,hospitals,etc. malpractice rate. You find out from the hospitals how many of a certain surgery are performed there in year, too. The more often they perform the easier it becomes you would think. If nothing get a second opinion.
In my experience, go with your gut. I'm done dealing with our local hospitals. We drive almost an hour to get to a mainline hospital, because the standards of care are MUCH higher there. They also have more specialists and more ORs and such. Trust yourself. Listen to what friends and family tell you as well.
i feel like,as far as mistakes go,unfortunatly,everone makes them..as fr as a good doctor,you have to call around,ask for refernces,ask other patients,ask for any creditials from former patience,and maybe im stupid for saying this,but there are some docs i knew i could trust right from the get go,then there were others,that i knew immediatly,that i would never go back to.....
