no menstrual for 9 months

my wife is 30 years old, not pregnant, and has not had her menstrual for 9 months. She recently went in for a pap smear, and was called back 2 weeks later, which was yesterday, pap smear came back negative. They gave her some medication so she can menstrual but it never happen. The doctor started talking to her about symptoms, which could be cervical cancer or ovarian cancer. Yesterday they did a biopsy on her cervics and told to come back in 2 weeks. Shouldn't they be doing more test in the mean time, (x-rays, cat scans, ultra sounds)?

The dr. says they cannot schedule the US for another 12 days. Is there anything else we can do to get it done faster?

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, I thank you for sharing and helping others. I told her to call her dr.  tomorrow and to get a US. She went for blood work today, but the CA 125 was not marked for testing, but testesterone, TSH 3rd. gen. Estradiol, FSH, FREE T4, and LH were. If the gyn says OC is a concern why do they not just go straight to US, or MRI, I know time is of importance...

My main symptom was lack of cycles....insist on an US, and maybe a CA125 (although many times CA125 will be normal with OC).    My OC was diagnosed 2.5 years after I first went to the doctor for answers...don't let time slip away.....
