omentum removal

My omentum was removed in June, 2009.I cannot seem to firm up or lose any weight since the removal of the omentum.I am wondering if I could be a candidate for liposuction or if a surgeon would do this due to omentum removal.Would the procedure be safe.

I'm assuming it was removed due to cancer? I'm not sure liposuction would be an option. Of course I'm no expert but since OVCA is a seeding cancer, I'm not sure a doctor would want to risk the possibility of disturbing anything, no matter how microscopic. My advice would be to research it fully and talk to a doctor you trust before you take any action. Best wishes to you.

I had my omentum removed in 2007. Now my CT reports say I have more implants in my omentum. What is the deal? Do they grow back? Yuck. Before my diagnosis I never even knew I had an omentum. Marie
