Lally,
What route you decide to take, please talk to your Dr before doing anything. There are some herbs that can make things worse and some that interfere with the treatment you might be taking.
For the majority of us, we do not pay attention to so called "cures" and quick fixes, but you do what feels right for you.
  Good luck,
    Chris

Yes, I wrote up some articles and have them on my website.  A link to all of them is on my profile page.

I did lots of research when my mom have ovca, and I like Maitake D-Fraction (safest of all of them), Fatty acids are *very* important to take to prevent wasting syndrome, etc.

These are not cures...you are not going to find that with any supplements or chemo's for IV, your goal is to get that sucker into remission!  Keep fighting!

I was told definitely no green tea or other herbs as they may interfere with the chemo.

hi there you could always try sea kelp as they are good for all your b vits and they also have properties in them that stop cancer starting and if it has already started it stops them from growing you can buy them from holland and barrat they are really cheap they are also good for keeping you strong they are good for everything                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           take care regards miranda

taking two table spoons of ginger powder everyday might help... there is an alternative medicine called 'angio block' (its an extract of bindweed) which works like avastin, it stops angiogenesis... thus, cancer cant grow more blood vessels for its tumor to grow bigger.. green tea will also help, i guess... tumeric powder along with ground black pepper can be taken along with some oily food...
eat 25 holy basil leaves (called shyama tulsi in india) is also said to stop the growth of ovarian cancer...

From what I've seen about miscategorized posts, they do send an email to the person that posted it and to anyone else that answered that the post has been moved. That helps a lot so you don't worry about just being deleted. I've had emails about posts I've answered being shifted to such and such forum. Kind of nice to know.

I'm a stage 3c and was told my condition is chronic.I finally accepted that.Whatever you do please check it out with your Gyn/Onc before strating anything. I did and everything I'm taking and doing was okay with them. I even went to Fox Chase in Philadelphia and Sloan Kettering in NYC.They were in favor of it also.. Nutrition is very important, no sugars or red meat.I eat mostly organic if I can find it. I take alot of supplements and due my own jucing and I feel great. Only you know how your body is. I still get chemo but my quality of life is so much better than before.
Hugs and lots of Healing to you.
Love Terry

Hi there...

I'm really sorry...someone reported your post as mis-catergorized and moved it to the complementary medicine forum. I actually replied to your old post yesterday and mentioned that there is a forum specifically for complementary medicine that may be more helpful to you! If you go to the top of the page here and click on forums, you'll find it under there. The people in that forum are well versed when it comes to supplements and such.
To everyone else...please don't move this post...I'd like for Lally123 to actually see that she has some responses!

Thanks,
Becky

Hi,
I was staged 4B and I'm on my second chemo drug, Topotecan and it's worked for 10 months.
I'm sure your oncologist hasn't given up on you, don't you give up on yourself!

If you feel that he can't help you, or you don't have faith in him, get a new doctor who will fight as hard as you will, to find the chemo drug that will stabilize your cancer.

The first time I met my oncologist, he told me that there are loads of chemo drugs to use, and new ones coming along all the time, and we'll be using lots of them.

I'm going to fight like hell to get this uninvited invader out of my body, every time it comes back.
Don't give up, the right drug is out there for you.

Also, don't take any herbs or supplements unless you check with your oncologist, some of them can be dangerous to your health or interfere with treatment.
Keep in touch, the support on this forum is awesome!
Jane

One more thing.....I'm not sure how long ago you recieved your diagnosis but I was sure it was an immediate death sentence when I recieved mine. If you've been battling this for a while disregard my message but if you are in the shock of just finding out keep in mind that cliche'd thing that none of us have an expiration date. I read in the Lance Armstrong book that when a doc says "there is nothing I can do" that just means THEY personally have exausted their knowledge that doesn't mean nothing else in the world exists that CAN be done. I also don't know how old you are or your overall general health but "crazy sexy cancer tips" (yukky title good book) by Kris Carr who is a stage 4 long term survivor of some kind of really rare cancer has some alternative health tips. How old are you? How was your health b4 diagnosis? Use all or any strengths you have to kick this thing to the curb.

just hold on!

Get the book Anti-Cancer -A New Way of Life by David Servan Schreiber MD Phd...lots of practical info on diet and herbal combos. Tumeric in combo with pepper is supposed to be a big one...green tea..at least 3x a day...there's lots... Supplements too....pple in stage 4 do have remissions...Dont give up.Prognosis is based on averages any individual can be outside the average..read the chapter on escaping statistics.

Good wishes and all the best for a healthy day,
Christina
