ovarian mass & groin/lymph node mass

I am nearly 42 slightly overweight.  I had a hysterectomy done about 18 yrs ago.  All that I have left is my right ovary.  For about a year now I have been having very bad pain in my right side.  About 8 months ago By CT Scan it was found that I have a 5 x 6 cm solid mass on my right ovary.  An Ultra sound was also done and all they can say is that is it is a solid mass.  Neither test could say if it was benign or malignant.  I also have what the ultra sound said is a enlarged lymph node just above my groin area, cradle in my pelvic bone area. This I myself can feel and it is about the size of my hand now and it causes nerve type pain that radiates down my leg.  The pain with the ovary seems to be much worse around the same time each month. (I believe when I maybe ovulating?)  Due to health insurance problems I have not been able to have the mass removed.  But I am still very concerned about it.  With this not going away on its own after so long, it honestly scares the **** out of me.  Plus I am developing other problems now.  What are the chances of it being cancer?  And if it is cancer and it goign untreated for so long now, what are the chances of it being curable?  Plus what else can it be?  Will it ever go away on its own?  DO I need to be concerned and scared?  Oh, one last thing, about 3 months ago I also noticed a lump in my right breast.  It dont hurt, but it is getting larger, is this related?
Thanks

I would deff go to nearest hospital asap.  These issues that you are describing need to be seen my a medical specialist.  Maybe bening but your have to be safe then sorry.  If it may be malignant the longer you wait the less chances you have of anything being curable.

I don't like the sound of the mass or the breast issue. Try to find a hospital e.r. where the is the possiblity of an onc/gyn on staff. Usually there is if you live in a metropolitan area. Tell the e.r. you are in too much pain to go home. Usually the state will kick in if the bill cannot be paid. My mom had open heart  surgery 20 yrs ago, no ins., but before she checked out they set her up on medicaid. Its hard to answer how fast cancer spreads, my onc. could not tell me how long I might have had it before diagnosis. You don't say where you live ( U.S.?) but this sounds serious to me. In my prayers, let us know whats happening with you.  Donna

I totally agree with Marie.  You should not have to suffer and worry just because you can't get health insurance - which should be every citizen's right to have!!  Please check around for a hospital that takes uninsured patients.  Usually every city has one.  Call any hospital and ask them.  I hope everything is okay for you.  Blessings.

It is very important to get this taken care of asap. Is there a clinic in your area? Most communities have clinics where you can get medical help based on a sliding scale according to ability to pay. Also Is there a Catholic hospital in your area? The Catholic hospital in my city does not turn anyone away. They treat people and write it off as charity. A person can go in thru ER and they will direct a person to the necessary services you will not know what the problem is without seeking a doctor. It may be benign, but if not you must not waste time. I apologize if I sound pushy, but I don't like to see people sick due to no insurance. I wish you the best. We all deserve healthcare when we are sick. Marie
