ovarian mass

I am a 54 yo mother of five, recently went to MD for back and abdominal pain, CT done and found a 4x5 adnexal mass and a 1.4 cm mass on my left adrenal gland.  US was performed and although there was a slight difference in size from ultrasound and CT, it's there.  Saw gyn who suggested we could just sit on it for 6 wks and then have another scan to see if it is bigger, however I prefer to have it removed since I am post-menopausal and have never had any problems that I know of before.  Plus with two masses on two different parts of my body scare me!  Should I wait or go ahead with the surgery, doing laparoscopic for right tube and ovary.  Thanks for any help.

Hello,
I am a 32 yr old mother of four and am happily married. Well the storie is I went to see my spine surgeon because of my debilitating back problems and also was having numbness of the groin actually the whole saddle area.As he studied the MRI he realized there was a mass in the uterus so he ordered a CT and they said I look to have a enlarged ovary and a walnut sized mass in my uterus. I am really scared could someone tell me what they think is happening, thank you, Suzanne

I think you would be smart to get a referral to a gyn/oncologist for a second opinion. Not because it is cancer, but rather, because this is their arena of expertise.  Regardless of whether you decide to wait....YOU HAVE ONLY ONE CHANCE TO GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME......see a gyn for a second opinion and surgery!
Good luck, and please do keep us posted.
Peace.
