ovarian problems?

i went months ago about felling a knot under my right rib.doc brushed it off.so i waited for a long time to go to another doc.i had a cat scan and they said i have liver cysts when i am still having test on my stomach, ordered by a gastro dr. i don't feel any problem with my stomach.i think it is ovarian problems.i am so TIRED all the time.my back and my pelvic bone and my right hip hurt all the time .i feel like i am cramping all the time.but when i am on my period i hurt severely.i have big clots ,that look like liver.i had a transvaginal u/s.said it was fine.i havent been to gyn office yet .i just called in my symptoms and they sent me to test.i wonder if these symptoms sound familiar? i am really feeling bad and i feel like i am crazy.i also should mention that i get full ,bloated and i urinate more and can't empty my bladder fully. thank you

Just to add to my previous post, you mentioned large clots. My periods are exactly the same. I lose huge clots (scary). I have suspected endometriosis, uterine fibroid and large complex ovarian cysts. My period also goes for 7-8 days and I have a bit of bleeding days before my period is due. Sometimes I feel like I bleed more often than not!

I've had pain under the right rib, frequent urination, abdominal bloating since late Jan. 06.  Went to gyn first in early Feb. since I had a fist sized dermoid rupture and peritonitis back in 1998.  Vaginal ultrasound and abdominal/pelvic catscan only showed tiny fibroids, small amount of free fluid, and some kidney stones.  Referred to internist to pursue possible gallbladder problems.  Took til early June to get a Hida-scan with CCK test to show gallbladder not emptying properly.  I asked the surgeon removing my gallbladder if while he was inside if he could look around for adhesions.  He said he didn't really believe in adhesions causing pain and wouldn't "open up a can of worms."  Well when he did the surgery he found my liver bound up with massive adhesions and had to call another surgeon in to help him.  I was diagnosed with biliary dyskensia but now I am having pain in my pancreas region.  The crossover in symptoms between pelvic and abdominal issues makes it so tough to know what is going on.  I made myself an appointment with the head Gastro here at Emory Univ. teaching hospital in Atlanta because my gastro keeps suggesting IBS and I don't believe that is the problem.  My advice is listen to the voice within and pray for wisdom.  Blessings to you in this journey.

Bless your heart...it is so hard to be dealing with something you can not explain and then fight the thought of "Is this for real or am I going crazy" You are definately not going crazy. The womans body is so complex that when something is not right God gives us warning signs (kind of how your vehicle has those dashboard lights that says low oil, water, running hot, etc)We need to get them checked, before a chain reaction of other problems start. Sometimes it is minor and sometimes it can be major. It would be nice to know that we can walk into the drs office and say "okay here is my problem, now fix it" But most of the time it is not that easy. God only gives us one body and the doctors are only as smart as what God allows them to be, and their are times when drs will over look the obvious, that is why we need to put the trust in the Lord and pray that He will guide the doctor to do what needs to be done.

I will have you in my prayers,
MeLisa

Hi there your symptoms do sound like they could be ovarian related but unfortunately the symptoms are so similar for any problem in the pelvic region that it is hard to work out exactly what it could be. You are doing the right thing following through because I have been through weeks of worry for no good reason. I had pelvic u/s and transvaginal u/s and they found complex masses on my ovaries. The sonongrapher seemed to indicate that it was something sinister. I have since been to gyno clinic at hopsital and had bloodwork and it appears that it is endometriois. Sometimes things appear much worse than what they really are. Is it possible that if you have liver cysts that they could spread to your ovaries? The doctors should be able to tell you this. Best of luck and hope everything works out ok. Please keep us posted.
