Hi Mark, I am just wondering if your read my posting on Dec 31/06 titled CARCINOSARCOMA, I received a few replies from Amaris and Ariley both who have lost their Mothers to this disease. I think if you have questions they would be the people to ask. I hope your mother is doing well. Has she started the Gemzar yet? Good Luck with everything!

Apparently she can not start until 2 weeks post radiation as it causes a "radiation flashback." Bad naseau, vomiting, etc... so it will be about a week and a half before she does. I faxed her OBGYN/Oncologist her PET write up this morning and expressed a little frustration over the missteps made before which I warned against. She went for a lung CT yesterday... that should be somewhat insightful on the mets. How old are you stephers?

Just read your post... WOW... I didn't realize you were so young. As I was telling Tybear I am 26... I have a heart condition myself for which I have had to have many surgeries... but even so I can't imagine what you must be going thru. On the bright side cancer generally has a better prognosis the younger you are. It is generally more "chemo responsive." Hopefully this will prove to be the case for you.
