preganacy after total hysterectomy.

My beautiful Fiancee had ovarian cancer 17 years ago and she had a total hysterectomy. I was wondering with all the advancements in medicine known today, is there any possibilities of us having a baby? We are going through all the  necessary means to adopt but to have our own baby  would just be amazing.

if you would be so kind as to let me know.

thank you and god bless

Hello ... I'm sorry that I do not know the answer to your question.  I love hearing survivor stories.  It is so uplifting.  I wish you the best!!  I know someone might know the answer to your question.  In the meantime you can go to the Home page and look for the "Hysterectomy"  or "Women's Health" forums.  From a common sense point of view, since she's had a total hysterectomy and no ovaries, I don't know how she could have a baby.  Tell her congratulations....she's a winner....she beat this monster!!!!  If there isn't an option for your wife or somone else carrying your baby, I wish you the best with your adoption.  They are so special.  Blessings....Cindy

Without an uterus she cannot carry a baby, a hysterectomy means that her uterus was removed.  Without ovaries, you can get an egg and sperm donor, but, without a uterus there is no place for the baby to develop.

Good luck to you and your wife with the adoption.
