recovery

my 24 year old neice has been detected with ovarian cancer and her CA125 IS 40, she also recently on 6th feb delivered a baby boy and the child is normal but it wasd a sizzerian operation, then a cyst of approx 2 kgs was removed from her body and then her ovary was removed, please advice if ca125 is 40 would this ovary cancer be cured the stage as per my knowledge is 1c.
please advice.

I agree with nyc lady -- the C designation means there was fluid in her abdomen that contained malignant cells.  Chemo is her best shot at destroying any that weren't removed during the surgery.

Her prognosis should be good since they caught it at such an early stage.

Normally stage 1C would require 6 rounds of chemo.  The rule of thumb is chemo for anything stage 1C and above.  Yes, the surgery may have "cured" the cancer, but, with a new baby, let's give that baby the best chance of having it's Mommy around for a long time.
