Hi There, color flow means that there is a blood supply to your ovary. it is not useful for the diagnosis of a malignancy. I agree with the recommendation to check again after another menstrual cycle.
You take care.
Update: I got a copy of my ultrasound on computer disk and took a look at the pictures. There is 1 septation in the cyst. It is very faint. The tech found it using Color Doppler. You can see the line of red and blue color all along the septation. Now I am scared to death. I thought that color flow is a very bad sign. I can't believe that the radiologist did not think this was suspicious. What do I do now! I've convinced myself this is cancer!
Should add that I am 36 years old.
Hi There,
your doc is right. Ultrasounds cannot diagnose cancer. An ultrasound will just describe a structure. Most ovarian structures are dynamic and depend on where a person is in their cycle. A septation means a thin dividing wall inside the cyst.
