If you or your regular gyn are considering surgery you really should have a consultation with a gyn-oncologist as they specialize in such surgeries. If there is any chance even 1-2% you should see a gyn-onc just for a consult. If they recommend surgery you should have a gyn-onc present for the surgery. No matter how much you trust you ob-gyn they are not the specialist for this type of surgery.
Let us know how you make out and please think about seeing a gyn-onc.

I had a pelvic sono gram the doc found a solid mass and had me then get a MRI, the MRI gave alot clearer image then a sono he then told me I have a tumor in my left ovary and will be getting it out in a month, ask your doc about a MRI.

Thank for your support. I also agree that another test will not hurt. :)
I'm with nanik the more tests the better. My ob/gyn Office had their own sonographer also and when I questioned (later because my Gp wasn't happy) why the tech was telling me the results right then when performing the TVUS I was informed that a sonographer isn't just a technician they have had extensive training and are licensed radiologists. I forget all the fancy terms I was told sorry. I just remember that they need no one else to interprept their work. At least you'll know right there and then. Good luck> I'll keep you in my prayers.
Hugs,
Darlyn
My obgyn said that she expected her u/s tech to be better because this is all that they do. They are a very large OBGYN office here in Kansas city. I guess if she is going to have to do surgery it is better to know for sure. I just dont like the waiting :(
That's really impressive. My understanding was that radiologists are physicians. It's great to hear that the technologists are able to do that in your area.

Wow. The gyn/onc I saw at MSK wanted just the opposite. He wasn't satisfied with the u/s's that were done in my regular gyn office and wanted them repeated so that the radiologist would be the one satisfied with the views. Isn't it amazing how much of a variety of opinions there are in this area?
I'm the type of person that would take the additional test if it's offered. The more views the better in my opinion.
