in sep 2010 i was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer. in oct. 2010, i had a total hysterectomy. my dr. said that i do not need chemo or radiation even tho my ca125 is 59.1 and before the surgery it was 952..why is that?

Stage 3C ALWAYS requires chemo. Get another opinion asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to you.

I would get your pathology and surgical notes/reports and get another oppinion ASAP from a gyn/oncologist or from a facility that is big in dealing with Ovarian Cancer. I am sorry but Stage 3C, to me, would need some type of additional treatment. Wish you the best of luck. Please keep us posted.
