the prep prior to surgery

okay girls, I have been given the gallon jug of the trilyte. Hooray
7 years ago I believe it was golytely. Is this an improvement with a new name? I dread this yah know.. Last time I took the golytely i was heaving all over the place. It was the worst thing I had ever had to drink....Some please answere

I am coming up on surgery on Mar 2, so I haven't personally experienced this fun.  But my son has had to have that horrible stuff before colonoscopy.  They advised me to reduce food and move to liquids before taking that stuff.  This really made a huge difference. It's all coming out anyway w/ that stuff - so why not make it easier on yourself?  The first time he had it, I felt so sorry for him, but the 2nd time reducing the food intake made it much easier. Hope this helps.  This is what I plan to do when I have to prep.

Oh, I've had the big gallon and the Lightly kind which didn't come in that big of a jug but they both were NASTY!  The pharmacist did tell me I could mix the Lightly with ginger ale and make it cold.  It did help but I got sick anyway!  Good luck.....
