update on drs appt

I have a bag of mixed blessings, I return to the dr on friday with my husband, but right now I have severe mycoplasma pneumonia with a titer of 790, the doctor who has practiced medicine for years has told me that he has never seen a blood titer over two hundred. I was prescribed erythromyacin, and hopefully this will work to fix the problem. If not, I dont know what to do. This type of pneumonia from what I understand is often seen with high titers such as mine with rhematoid issues (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, etc) or cancers. I have more questions now than answers, and will have to wait until friday to see what the next step is going to be. This type of pneumonia is generally considered a walking pneumonia, but with the ongoing issues that i have been going through and the titer being so extremely high the doctor is not going to take any chances what so ever with anything that comes up. I am safe at the moment to continue the ip chemo (thank god) but...friday willl tell the complete tale, and I will keep you all updated. I would like to thank you all for the thoughts and prayers and I continue to keep each and every one of you in my thoughts and prayers.

well...no chemo this week once again, I got up this morning with more trouble breathing than before, so my guess is that this pneumonia is going to be resistant. I can not wait until friday to get here and see what else the doc has in his bag of tricks. I am going to ask for another chest x-ray, because originally this was diagnosed as left lower lobe pneumonia, I do not understand how it could suddenly be a mycoplasma sort. Sometimes I hate having a medical background. I am still scared about metas because of the first x-ray, my x-rays have always been clear up until this all started. I am so stressed about all of this. I got up early which I dont do ever, especially the day before I have to work nights. Hubby and I have an appt at 745 am and I am going to get some answers to all of this. I wanted IP chemo to achieve a longer remisssion, and the ca125 keeps going up because I am unable to do the chemo due to the reoccuring respiratory problems. No chemo no kind IP or otherwise. I have tried to post on the respiratory forum but the dr limit has reached its fullness for the day, I guess I should have done this earlier. i am so frustrated, I thought that this would be at least starting to get better, not worse. The cough was gone before yesterday and I was somewhat functional, today I am back to square one that I was at 2 months ago. I appreciate the thoughts and prayers, but something is in the back of my mind and none of it is any good. Also question about ovarian remnant syndrome, can this occur with someone that had oorphectomy due to cancer and start all over again in the "ovaries" I am starting to get the same symptoms I had before the chemo, before the radiation, before the surgery. Any and all suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks in advance

I hope that the erythromyacin will kick that pnuemonia for you. Better yet that you are able to continue your treatments. I wish you the best of luck at the Dr Fri and hope that it is all good news and that all of your questions get answered.
  Good Luck
