15lb ovarian tumor (cystic mass)...

I am scheduled for removal surgery tomarrow, last night up until now I have been in constant pain like a contraction. Doctor told me only to take tylenol (nothing else due to thinning of the blood before surgery) and if I start running a fever or feel ill too come in immediately. The pain is driving me crazy, its not intolerable but extremely annoying. No position is comfortable. This mass has not caused any pain until yesterday. Could it be because of the size (30cm, 12-15lbs) or something else. Pain can be compared to severe menstral cramping.

You will be SO relieved when the surgery is over, and that large cyst is out.   The pain will be gone and all the discomfort that the cyst has caused.   I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow (Monday). your day of surgery... my surgery was two and a half weeks ago. Stay in touch when you are feeling up to it.  All the best to you.

It may be due to twisted ovary.
I also had this type of pain. But I was vomiting and had fever. When I went to ER, there was no blood supply to ovary and my ovary was twisted 8-9 times.
