Bilateral Tubo-Ovarian Abscess
How long is a typical recovery for this type of removal? Also my doctor says that both fallopian tubes maybe destoyed and have to be removed.

I'm not sure how they are doing it, I just got the call that surgery is needed and I have to go in and see my doc to dicuss everything.
If you are having a laparoscopic procedure, the recovery time is only a few weeks. There will be 3 small incisions at the belly button, the "bikini Line" and one in between. There may be a little discomfort for the first day or so and there will be bruising..Your Dx. is a little different than mine, but the end result is the same.. My stitches were removed in 1 week, and I went to the grocery store the same week.. They do ask that you not drive or lift anything heavy for the first two weeks.. But, other than that, the recovery time is really not bad..
