Hi Jackie, hdebbie7 is absolutely right.  It just takes time for your body to get back to normal.  It could be a few weeks, or a few months.  Have you tried taking some gasX to get rid of some of the bloating?  This may help.  Your insides have been through a trauma, and you had lots of air inflating your abdomen.  I know it can seem like we are bloated forever, but I assure you that it will go down and you will be back to normal before you know it!!

Hi Jackie it can take a while for the bloating to go down after surgery, its the gas they put into us so they get a better view of our insides. I have had two large abdominial surgerys now and i know what it is like. We are all different it took absolutely weeks last time but this time i am 2 weeks post op and it has already returned to normal. I think it,s the wind build up and the fact that your insides have been through a trauma. How long post op are you? Give it time it will go down. Take care x
