Complex Ovarian Cyst

I have an enlarged ovary (4.1 x 3 X 2.6 cm) with a complex cyst measuring 2.8 cm x 3 cm x 2.5 cm; trace fluid around the ovary; vascular flow within each ovary; other ovary has smaller simple cyst; (also enlarged uterus with fibroids) - I am concerned about the complex cyst and have gyno appt on 1/10.  I am a 46 year old and still regularly menstruating - hx of Br cancer in family. DO I need to see gyno sooner or sound pretty typical?

Thank you very much - my thoughts exactly.  I will see the doctor on the 10th; perhaps by then it will be gone! Thanks again for your response.

Hi,
The size of the ovarian cyst is not very large. But because it is a complex cyst, a detailed evaluation is necessary. This is especially necessary considering your age and history of breast cancer, but there is no reason for alarm.
Take care and good luck.
