Dermoid + Ovary Removal- experiencing post surgical symptoms

I am 28yrs old and recently fell in from a Dermoid Cyst. They had to remove my one of my ovaries and Fallopian tube along with the cyst because it was tangled up around it. I am one week post op but a little concerned because I am having lower body nightly sweats, pain in my lower abdomen when I try coughing or laughing and minor constipation (which I’m treating myself). I was told by doctor prior to surgery that I should be able to have kids with one ovary, no problem.. but I’m worried because I feel like I’m experiencing menopausal episodes with the night sweats? Is this part of the healing process or should I talk to my doctor?  The day after surgery I did have my period, but it’s weird cause I only had it for five days bleeding every other day.I’m so scared that something is wrong and I won’t be able to have kids in the future and that I’m menopausing in my late 20s.

I’m 24, 2 months post-op had my left ovary and tube removed along with the cyst as well. Also a cyst removed from my right ovary. I had night sweats and hot flashes pretty bad right after. Really confused me considering never going through menopausal symptoms before. Night sweats lasted for probably 3 weeks and now I only get maybe one every 2 weeks. The hot flashes are definitely no where near as chaotic as they were before. Also only get those once in awhile now. My first period was heavy.  And now has gone mia. Which I’m hope is just part of recovery. And new birth control to help prevent the cysts. I hope this helps. And I hope for your speedy recovery!

I'm sorry your ovary was removed. Hopefully, the night sweats are temporary and your other ovary will figure out that its "twin" is missing. Even if your periods return to normal or fairly normal, it's possible your fertility may be somewhat impaired. Just something to keep in mind when you're ready to have kids. I hope this all settles down soon and everything returns to normal!! Keep us posted on that.
