Doctor or Radiologist

Hi there, we recently went and got an MRI done as well as a CA-125 test.  I found out that the Gynecologist didn't even review the images, apparently that's done by a radiologist.  Anyways the doctor said it "looks" like endometriomas or "chocolate cysts".  We're looking for someone else that knows how to read the MRI images and can give us another opinion.  I'm hoping we could find a doctor or radiologist that would be willing to review them for us.  I can email the images.  Is there anyone out there that might be able to offer us their services.

Thanks.

Ruben

The doctor suggested she have surgery and said that the main cyst looks to be 5-6 inches.  That seems pretty large to me.  The doctor also suggested we get another CA-125 test in 3 months to see if the numbers change.  The doctor is saying that she thinks they are endometriomas.  The patient is 20 years old, no children, and the picture of a healthy lifestyle, and no family history of cancer or ovarian problems.

I'm trying to find a website where I can find a radiologist that might take a look at the images for me and give me their impression.  Any suggestions on this?

I wonder if doctors or radiologists ever review this site?

Any help or direction is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ruben

The radiologist is the most skilled in reading the results.  It is normal for your doctor to rely on their impressions.  It is often very difficult to know for sure what kind of cyst it is until they do surgery.  I was told I had a 16 cm mass, possibly fluid filled and at surgery it ended up being a grapefruit sized cluster of cysts that had bled together.  What is your doctor planning to do for treatment?

Hmmmm...usually when imaging is done the results will be sent to the ordering physician with the radiologist's impression
