Endometrium Polyps

Hi Expert

My recent scan report:

Endometrium Thickness: 10.8mm
Uterus is normal in size. Fibroids: A 1 cm subserous fibroid seen at loer anterior wall. A 1.3 cm anterior wall fibroid seen.

Endometrium: A 1.2 cm and a 1.6 cm  echogenic areas seen in cavity. They have some features of polyps.

Both ovaries are normal in size and appearance. A 1.3 cm clear follicle seen in RO. No fluid or other mass seen in pelvis.

I had done opt to remove endometrium polyps few years back but now polyps recur back. Doctor suggest an opt-D&C, Hysteroscopy,Polypectomy which is same with my previous opt. Could  I check with you can I just leave the polyps? I'm 46 yrs and did not give birth.

Please advise.

Thank You.

Best Regards
LIlian

Thanks for your reply.

I got my result today.

Endometrium,Curettage-Benign,polypoid endometrium with secretory changes.
The specimen is received in formalin, labelled with patient's data and designated "endometrial curetting and polyp. It consists of multiple pieces of soft tissue without blood clots measuring 2.5 x 2.2 x0.8cm.

Problem is since I got removed twice of the polyps doctor said I have higher chance to get recurrence of polyps.

Any diet to prevent because I also have two ovary cysts and two uterine fibroid?

Kindly advise and thanks a million.

Best Regards
Lilian

HI,
It is better to remove the endometrial polyps as they can give rise to symptoms in future like excessive bleeding and pain. Also removal gives an opportunity to examine the polyps histo-pathologically and rule out the risk of endometrial cancer.
Hope this helps.
