Enlarged Ovaries

I was told back in April that both of my ovaries were 3x the size of normal.  I have had the following procedures done this past month:
uterine biposy - negative no cancer or pre-cancer  CA125 blood test -  normal
vaginal ultrasound -  found the enlarged ovaries   cat scan -   no new news
d&c w/hysteroscopy -  removed one polyp from endocervix - no cancer or pre-cancer.

Question:  My ob-gyn called today and wants to do an endoscopy & colonoscopy and couldn't really explain why other than to say she'll know where she stands regarding ovarian cancer and has scared the *** out of me.
Has anyone else heard of such a thing?

Thanks so much for your comments, I believe the 2nd opinion is the way to go, I'm not sure my doctor isn't using me as a guinea pig.  I've been told from 4 tests there is no cancer, I don't understand why we need to continue.  The stress of it all, sure is no picnic.  Thanks again!

I have not heard of that, but I'm sure your doctor knows what she is talking about.  If you are not comfortable, then you can always get a second opinion.  It never hurts to know what another doctor thinks.  The only way that I know of to detect ovarian cancer is by biopsy.  I bet she is checking the colon to make sure there is no diverticulitis or something else in the colon.  That can help her decide where to go next.  I hope you get some answers soon.  Please let us know what you find out!
