Enlarged Ovary, Uterus & Cyst What does this mean??

Hello, I am 26 year old married mother of 2.  For the last 6+ months I have experienced some abdominal pain on my left side which has become increasingly worse especially after sex.  I had a PAP a couple weeks ago and while my OBG was pushing on my lower abdomen I was in a great deal of pain.  She also noted I had a small amount of discharge that was unusual. This too has been consistent in the last 6+ months. Sorry if TMI but comparable to a yeast without any symptoms.  She suggested I have an ultrasound done the next day.

I met with my Dr. yesterday to go over the results and the utrasound did show a cyst on my left side. Along with an enlarged uterus and enlarged ovary.  She stated what the ultrasound had shown was not worrysome to her, however the fact that I was in pain concerned her.  Now, I am scheduled for liproscoic surgery in 2 weeks to "explore" the area to ensure no fibroid tumors or anything else is found.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?  I am very nervous to be put under for a Dr. to explore......... please help.

My OBG said it was a relvently small cyst and she would be suprised if it was causing me the amount of pain I was describing, however some women are more sensitive than others and this could be the cause.

The pain has gotten increasingly worse over the last 4 days.

I am not sure what type it is, I did make another appointment for tomorrow.

Did she tell you what size or type of cyst it is?  Cysts, even small ones, can cause pain.
