on the treadmil do about 5 or 6 minutes or so and you may work your way up a minute each week. i had surgery in january 2007 and i dident do much for 4 to 6 months cause of the bleeding of my incision.
Thanks ladies. I am just hoping to start walking on the treadmill and go from there. It has been over 6 months since I have done any so I will be sure to start very slow.
Hi, they can say any amount of time but you will have to really, and I mean REALLY, listen to your body. And, it depends on the type of exercise you are doing and with what intensity. You'll notice that you get fatigued quicker so just watch the time, start slowly and see how you feel.
Of course, if you're doing weights you need to be very careful. All in all, just doing a little something will help you feel like you're getting back to your old self.
Good luck!
My doctor told me 8 weeks and when I started it was just walking for a while. Good luck!
6 weeks is what my doctor told me, but I was nervous and I started after 8 weeks. Try it after 6 weeks, but take it slow so that you can see if you can tolerate it or if you're sore or in pain the next day around your incision area or inside. Don't overdo it.
