Laparoscopy hysterectomy surgery

I had a laparoscopy hysterectomy 5 days ago and came home day two I am extremely bloated and although not eating a lot drinking plenty but the gas doesn’t seem to be dissipating at all.  Is it to early to expect it to have gone or even reduced by now?  The gas pain is far worse than the op itself with shoulder tip pain being the worse I was told to expect this do not to concerned about it but just feel so blown up.  Eating seems to make it worse. Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance

I'm not sure how long it takes for the gas to dissipate but 5 days is still early post-op. You can call your surgeon or a pharmacist to see what over-the-counter or prescription med will help. Hope you feel better soon!
