Laproscopic Surgery

I have had surgery on Feb. 8th to remove a large mass on my left ovary.  It was the size of a cantaloupe, so they removed theovary and falopian tube.  I ave xpected some bleeding but it has been 7 days ow and seems to be getting worse with some heavy clotting.  I don't go back to the doc for anoher week so I am a little concerned.  Also to those that were told that you could go back to wrk so soon,  I did and while the first 2 days felt horrible,  I think it helped me get a little better although I am still sore and cant really bend over  I am getting around much better,  and the gas is ostly gone.

This discussion is related to recovery after cyst and ovary removal.

If you are talking about menstrual type of bleeding, it can be normal.  If it is time for your period, things may be a little off.  Keep in mind that your body just went through a traumatic ordeal, so it may take your body a few cycles before it gets back to normal.  Incisional bleeding needs to be looked at quickly.  Call your dr and ask them what their opinion is.  THey will let you know if they think you need to be seen.

That was a BIG cyst to remove so your recovery is probably going to be longer than they may have led you to believe.

Are you referring to menstrual type bleeding or incision bleeding?  Incision bleeding needs immediate attention from your doctor.  The other can be stranger than what you normally get.  It should subside with time.
