It is possible to get a UTI from the surgery. Keep an eye on it and if antibiotics don't help then have them check for interstitial cystitis which can also result from surgery. Hope you get some relief soon.
Hi TrudieC,
Thank you for responding to my question. I went back to work last Tuesday. The surgery went well. I thought i won't get better. I guess recovering from surgery affects your emotion. I don't like the gas that they put in me. It's took awhile before i got rid of it. It hurt me so much especially in the chest. when i laugh or cry for example the pain travels from my belly up to the chest and i have a hard time breathing. I would say my incisions are healing fine. But there's new concern i'm worried about. Everytime i pee i get pain in my lower right abdomen near where the hip bone is. i would describe the pain as sharpish pain. I called my doctor yesterday and told them and they asked for a urine sample to see if i have UTI (urinary tract infection) Would you happened to know what's causing the pain when i pee? Is there anyone here have this kind of experience before?
any insight is welcome--
thanks in advance....
Recovery is usually 2 weeks for a laporascopic surgery but you will still want to avoid lifting and twisting and may still have fatigue for another month. Having them both is a good thing as it limits the amount of anesthetic you will get. The D & C will not add to your recovery. It usually is just a couple of days. Good luck tomorrow and come back and let us know how it goes.
