Need help!!

Hi everyone, im new here and so happy I found this forum!  Im 31 years old and for the past four months have been having sever pain in my lower abdomen and it radiates all the way down the right side of my vagina, not so much the inside but the outside, if that makes any sense.  Ive been so my Gyno and and had an ultrasound done and they found several small cysts but he said that they were normal.  I also went and say an urologist just to rule out my bladder as I was feeling the urge to pee alot and felt really achy after having urinated.  but urine was fine and I have a cystscopy done and that came back fine as well.  My question is can if be the cysts on my ovaries that are causing all my vaginal pain?  Its almost like a constant throbbing on the right side of vagina, like where the lips are.  Im at my wits end, I just want to know what is causing all the pain and all I keep getting is the run around from my doctors.  anyone else have this kind of pain with cysts?

thank you for the reply love2cook!  Im having another ultrasound done today to see how my cysts are doing.  But now that you mention the colon spasms, its got me thinking.  I was diagnosed with IBS when I was 16 and havent been taking any thing for it for years now.  I will have to ask my doc about this, im willing to try anything.  If my ultrasound comes up clean they next thing they want to do it a Lap.  How was that, how long did it take for recovery after they went and looked around?

I actually have a throbbing type sensation on the vaginal area all the time after intercourse.  I always thought it was the strangest thing and honestly I've never asked my doc about it.  It goes away after about an hour, but again mine isn't painful, just odd.

What you are describing makes me think of the pain I had for years. They are called colon spasms. If feels like it's intense vaginal pain, and it hurts so much and I always think for sure it's coming from the uterus/vaginal area, however after finally dealing w/ it for months, I had a laparoscopy done (from gyno) and that is how we found out it was actually my colon spasming.  There are meds you can take for this and they control my spasms where it flares up

I do have cysts and those are a different kind of pain, more sharp and usually off to one side.  They can also make you feel bloated, fullness type pressure.

If you feel you need more information, can you see another ob/gyn for a 2nd opinion?  Did they say they would check your cysts later to make sure they were not growing?
