Ovarian cyst?!?

Hi there

I have previously had 3 ovarian cysts..2 prior to having kids and one about 5 years ago.  2 weeks ago i started spotting one week before my period was due. Ive never had spotting before in my life. (Im 42). After a few days of light spotting i started feeling sort of crampy on my left side of pelvis which then spread to my left hip & top of my thigh.  It felt like my ovary was aching.  I waited for my period to come(or not) and i started to bleed a little heavier but still nowhere near a normal period and the pains have got
Worse.  My period should end this Saturday but as of last night im finally not bleeding/spotting.
My pain last nighy was also on right side and lower back.  Tonight my back is my big problem. My pelvis isnt bothering me too much but if i bend over my back feels like it pulls and its actually unbearable!
Im going to the hospital tomorrow to get an ultrasound but am SO nervous!!!
Im on the pill,  im not bloated at all, still have an appetite despite some nausea, im peeing a little more often but nothing crazy. Has anyone sufferd from such horrible back pain from a cyst.  Im assuming thats what it is just cuz thats how it feels...pls shed any pOSITIVE light!!!

Ive been on the pill for all of my cysts except the one 5 yrs ago. Im currently on a low dose pill.
I thought my initial spotting was due to stress, or that i forgot a pill the weekend prior, or poss due to the homeopathic "meds" i was on for a sinus cold. But the familiar ache wouldnt be there if that was the case.
I think my last cyst was 5 cm?  Theyve all resolved in their own in the past. The pain this time didnt get really bad until it was time for my period.
The previous times it was mostly one sided pain, back ache or all across my pelvis.  This one feels like a doozy!

All of your symptoms sound cyst related. The back pain, thigh pain, some what frequent urination, but you being on the pill should have seriously reduced your chances of getting a cyst. How large were your other cyst and did you experience symptoms with them??
