Life after laparoscopy

Has anyone experienced soreness in their legs after surgery when you try and take walks? I had a laparoscopy procedure March 9th for Endometriosis. My surgery went well but recovery hasn't been easy. It's been almost 12 weeks since my surgery and i've been trying to take like 15-20 minute walks outside twice a day to strengthen my legs since i haven't moved that much outdoors. My legs are so sore after walking, especially the second time around. I just wanted to know if any of you had that experience when trying to move around more after surgery. thanks

Dear Staff,
I am having a laparoscopy on August 13th and I am wondering what is the recuperation period and how will i be affected after the operation? I do not know whether it is keyhole surgery or a small incision till they take me to theatre. Please help because i am worried.

Hey Kasie, the pain is in both my legs, especially my thighs, I think it's muscle soreness, it's unlikely i have blood clots in both legs. Yeah, it might be from being nonactive for so long. yesterday i walked 5 minutes more than usual, today i just stayed home and let the soreness heal. i will resume walking again on monday. I just know i have to keep doing it, i can't think of any other way my body will be strong again. This recovery thing is just one frustrating process lol! I'm 28 and i feel like i'm 70. i'm going to not walk for the weekend and see if things get better. i just don't want to keep going to the doctor for everything. last time i told him my leg hurt he said he wasn't worried about it. i'll wait and see. thank you for listening as always :) so are you preparing for the surgery? i hope it's your last one. i don't wish surgery on anyone! thanks for being there...

Hi Mimi.  I wonder if it is just sore muscles from being nonactive for so long.  Is the pain really bad?  It might be worth calling your doctor to make sure that you have not developed a blood clot.  I'm sure that it is unlikely, but worth the call just in case.  I'm sorry I'm not more help.  Hope you get some relief soon.
