adnexa mass and enlarged ovary

Hey there,
I am 38 years old and have never been pregnant.  I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago due to pain, thick lining, heavy bleeding and fibroids.   3 months ago I had pain in my lower left pelvic area.  It was also causing problems with urination, constipation, pain in legs and lower back, and low fever.   Doc referred to US.  US reported 3.77 x 3.98 complex mass in left ovary adnexa area with overall measurement of L ovary being 5.07 x 4.99 x 4.82.  Docs decided to wait 3 months and do another US.  I just returned from the US and the Tech says the mass is much, much smaller but my ovary is still enlarged.    First of all, how does a "Complex mass" just go away or become smaller?  And Second, I am still concerned about the "Enlarged ovary". What could that mean?   My US from 6 years ago shows my L ovary at 2.6 x 3.9 x 1.9.  I dont have my report from the US today yet but the 3 month old and 6 year old have a huge difference in size of ovary.  What does a enlarged ovary really imply?  Any info is appreciated.
