Did not expect to have much of an appetite (and the good news is lost 12lb in 4 days better than weight watchers) hospital food did not help it was dreadfull. Since the op have had a strange taste in my mouth and the thought of certain food items just makes me feel sooooo sick eg milk just cannot even consider having any or anything made with it, sweet things have experienced a tickly cough but cannot even face cough sweets, got lovely boxes of chocs from friends but the thought of eating them yuk has anyone experienced this before?

I have definatley had the same experience.  My doctor said it was from the anastesia (sp).  Like the other ladies have said, it only lasts a week or two.  If it lasts longer, give you doctor a buzz and maybe he can give you some more insite.  Good luck.  Kasie

Yes I lost my appetite and couldn't face certain foods, it was very strange!  My appetite is coming back now but still not totally back to normal.

Absolutely.  Nothing tasted like it was supposed to taste.  Not even the things I liked.  It was like that for at least 4 or 5 days before it gradually got better, but even then there were foods that I couldn't imagine myself eating.  Terrible diet plan, indeed, but if you can keep the reduced appetite going, this is a great way to lose some unwanted pounds and keep them off.  I myself lost about 6 pounds and don't want to see them return.
