Hi Iesha10

First of all im so sorry your felling so much pain, i agree with brat333 that you should ask for a better pain releiver
its good that you already know what type of cyst your dealing with
when i first learned that i have a cyst it was 5.2cm fluid filled cyst
it was causing me pain but not so much what alarmed me was the spotting in between periods and pain during sex. Whent to my Obgyn she did not give me pain relievers because she said that my cyst might rapture and i wouldnt know it because of the pain killers.
we did watchfully waiting for about 3 months went back for another u/s the cyst grew to 6.2 cm then we tried hormones for a month next u/s was 7.2cm
so my cyst was growing my obgyn recomended removal surgically
i had a laparatomy las sept.22.. im recovering pretty well
first week was the hardest

so my advice to you when you see your obgyn is ask lots of questions like:
what type of cyst
is it on or in your ovary
is it attach to your fallopian tube (mine was)
since you said its complex meaning its contains both solid and liquid
ask if you need a ca125
ask if she thinks hormones or bc can help shrink the cyst

keep us posted and goodluck
if you have any questions feel free to ask me or any of the ladies in the forum eveyone here are vey kind and helpful ;)

hi there

If the painkillers they gave you aren't working go to your doctors asap and get some stronger ones of a different type. My hospital sent me home with Codeine which may as well have been a packet of smarties ...I was actually readmitted to hospital as the pain was so bad after only one day and  they gave me tramadol and diclofenac which I am still on now as still waiting for resolution to problem although my doctor has now prescribed me the slow release version of both which means you don't get the wearing off and waiting for it to work bit like the normal versions and can sleep through the night.   Also I have to take antacid tablets to protect my stomach and sachets to stop the constipation side effects of the tablets too which is annoying.

Good luck and hope you get sorted soonxx
