About Ovarian Cyst

I would like to know the symptoms are.I have had a pain in my lower right side for almost a month now.It has become worse.I have had cyst before, but it didnt really feel this way.I am very worried because my mom passed away of ovarian cancer when she was 45.I am 35 now.Although she didnt have pain, even though she was in stage 4.I am still worried.I have also had 3 children. Two were from c-sections.The fist c-section was 19 yrs ago, then I had a normal birth 10 yrs ago,and I had my last c-section 3 yrs ago.I has read the scar tissue on the inside could become to built up and be painful.I was wondering if that may be what it was. Please if anyone has any advice let me know.I know Ineed to see a doctor and I will as soon as I get the money;we have no insurance.

well, well, well, so I have an interesting challenge here that I could use some guidance. so all year we've been seeing a cyst on my right ovary. The ultrasound last week showed, ta-da, a cyst not on the ovary this time, it's just sitting there between the uterus and the ovary, I think. I put a call into the Oncologist/GYN as MarieMichele suggested and I also had a meeting with my GYN>

The Oncologist says no it's not on the ovary but he would still do surgery if he were me, however, it's still up to me.

The gyn, I'm still waiting to hear from as she is looking at the films online.

Do you know of this business of a water filled cyst in a location like this and how it may compare with what we know about ovarian cysts?

Hi,Thanks for posting a reply,It doesnt hurt all the time.It is normally like you said after I eat a lot.I also have a stabbing pain that goes into my pelvic area. The other weird thing it does; is at night I can lay on my left side and it makes my right side hurt worse.I thought that was strange.Almost like something is pushing on my right side.I am going to see a doctor as soon as possible. The IRS cleand us out and took my husbands whole paycheck for 3 weeks in a row and caused us to get evicted. We have it straight now,but we are living a one room studio apt,and trying to save the money back up to get some other place to live.So I dont really know when I will be able to see a doctor.I will go to the ER though if it doest get better soon.Thank you again and you have a wonderful Monday.

Getting it checked by a gynecologist is the best thing you can do.  See if you can arrange a payment plan or something. With your family history you want to stay on top of anything you don't think is quite right with your body.

Cysts, scars, adhesions from surgery are certainly possibilities but you don't know what you have without some kind of exam and imaging test (transvaginal ultrasound recommended) and possibly a CA-125 test if they find a cyst.  I hope your finances improve soon and that your situation changes for the better so you can get insured.

How often does it hurt?  These things usually hurt sporadically.  After a big meal. At night when trying to sleep.  After some type of physical activity.  Not usually on a constant basis.  Any other symptoms you think could be associated with it?

Are you bloating around the middle, gaining weight, getting that pregnant look?  Feeling fatigued even if you get enough sleep?  Constipated?
