treatments for ovarian cysts/dangers of hormone replacement therapy

My friend has ovarian cysts and has had one ovary removed eight mths ago and now the cysts are in her remaining ovary. She is told it has to be removed and on hormone replacement therapy the rest of her life but is told that the hormone therapy will be dangerous for her due to the high risk of blood clots. Is there an alternative therapy she can take or alternative to removal of the ovary or way to just treat the cyst?

They can remove the cysts surgically, I've had it done twice
. A friend of mine who is older and going thru menopause has been seeing an herbalist which is able to relieve her hormonal symptoms naturally vs taking HRT. She has had bad side effects from them in the past.
Best of luck!!
