Bladder full is just for the traditional external US which they would do first. They will let you go to the restroom and empty your bladder if they want to do a second TV US. You can actually be "too full" for that first US, so don't overdo too much on how much you drink prior. I only had my morning cup of coffee, and I was full enough since I always pee more after drinking coffee than the amount of coffee consumed!
I also am unable to help with how long pain/swelling lasts from a rupture. It would vary by the amount of fluid/etc that your body needs to re-absorb. You also have to make sure you don't get an infection while healing from this.
Hi,
The Ultrasound is such a good tool, they'll be able to really determine what your situation is.. The Transvaginal US especially , if that 's what you're having. I've not had a rupture, although there are many ladies here that have experience that will no doubt check in. From what I understand from being here awhile is that it can take some time to fully recover.
Try not to worry and good luck on your US. You may have to wait a few days for the results so keep us posted..
