why do I hurt

I am having pain in my abdomen on the lower left side. it hurts when you press down on my abdomen.

This could also be diverticulitis. See your doctor, who will probably schedule an ultrasound, and or CT of the abdomen.

if you are also having pain when passing bowels i would go doctors and get ultrasound cuase i had simlar experience earlier in year. i kept getting a tummy ache but then turnt into pain when i couldnt even sit up or walk properly, i went for scan they found a 3.1cm cyst on ovarie, went back for scan 6weeks later and went. i would get it checked just in case hun cause they can go on own but sometimes dont. hope this helps

I am so sorry to hear you are in pain.  Unfortunately, there is no way to tell what is wrong without getting examined by your doctor.  Ovarian cysts do cause this type of pain.  A transvaginal ultrasound will be able to determine if you have a cyst.  Most cysts are benign and go away on their own.  But, any persistent pain is a warning sign.  So, please get checked by your doctor just to be on the safe side!
