How to handle flash backs

My 12 year old kitten died last year and it was a terrible experence. I had many flash back about that last day. Over the past 6 months they are getting less but now my 20 year old kitten died last week. Again it was terrible day and now im having flashback about both Toby and Jake. Very difficult to control them and i cry immediatly. Should i take down the photos of them in my house to try to forget them? Many people say just try to remember the good times but thats easier said than done.
Any help appreciated
P.S. PTSD is real and can happen with any tramadic experience.

flashbacks are triggered by certain things that remind you of the trauma best thing is just to have them and learn how to deal or cope with your thoughts and rage usually less than a minute for me I was good to go months ago then I had one out of nowhere threw me for a loop hope this helps :)

if you feel you've been traumatized seek mental health and or a medical doctor to try and illustrate what treatment you will need I go to support groups you are not alone my friend write down what triggers you have and avoid these :)
