can a symptom of ptsd be delusions

My best friend has started to see spiders everywhere. She was traumatized sexually as a young child, abandoned by her mother and sexually assaulted as an adult. We moved from a large urban area on the east coast to Arizona several months ago and the delusions started shortly afterwards. She has several times referred to herself as being "the dirty" kid growing up. I believe that she is punishing herself mentally for things that have happened to her that she had no control over. It has been suggested that her problem could be an eye disorder, neurological or sleep disorder. How should she proceeded?

I do agree with drifter, when it comes to "he says, she says", there is no healing going on.  Only the person in the first Party can say what really happened and then be treated for it.
