Any suggestions again

My husband and I decided instead of cold turkey off of liquid methadose to use other opiates in small doses to help with withdrawl.  Is this the wisest decision or should he try to do cold turkey.  My concern is that we both have struggled with opiate addictions for 5 yrs. or more.  Cold turkey is hard, but is it life threatening.  My husband literally wants to die!!

I 100% AGREE WITH U.  I KNOW OF A FEW PEOPLE THT R ABUSING DRUGS AND IT MAKES ME SO MAD SOMETIMES ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY CAN GO TO A DOCTOR AND GET WHATEVER THEY WANT AND I HAVE HAD MY DOCTOR GOING ON 4-5 YRS. AND SHE STARTED ME OUT ON  ULTRAM AND WOULD NOT GIVE ME ANYTHING STRONGER AT THE TIME AND I WAS HURTING ALL OVER SO BAD AND ITS PEOPLE LIKE THT  ... THAT MAKES IT HARDER FOR PEOPLE LIKE US!

Was I missing something? I read your post to MR PHARMACIST about not selling his drugs in this forum? Did the message get removed and I didn't see it? Does this kind of thing actually happen on here????

whatever you do, just make sure you stop taking these drugs, they are damaging to you and addiction is damaging to the community, especially to chronic pain sufferers who have enough trouble being treated properly without drug seekers making it even harder for us. good luck getting off, i suggest you go cold turkey, it is the quickest way, it is unlikely you will die
