Can a doctor just take you off your pain meds

I was in an accident in 2011 and lived in New jersey. I moved to alabama and brought all my medical records with me. i had been on the same meds for 6 years. I have nerve damage in my right arm and right leg, i have had two fusions on my neck and one in my lower back. I have been on the same meds for 6 years now. As i moved to alabama 11 months ago of course i had to go threw the process for getting them to put me where i was in new jersey. I was taking Roxie 15 four times a day. I have never tested pos for drugs nor have i ever used drugs. Today i went into the office and the nurse came into pee with me to which i had no problem with. then the doctor after he sees me sent me and then tells me to wait in the waiting room for my meds as he usually did. Then the nurse comes out and says they were going to change me to suboxen due to my disposition. I had yelled at the nurse because i am tired of sitting in the office for 5 hours waiting to be seen prior to being seen. They also told me i have to go threw withdrawals to be able to get on suboxen. I do not understand how a doctor could do this. Again i never touched in my life drugs. I am in college to be a counselor myself due to i am seeing what people are going threw..  I also have a sac of fluid that is pinching off my nerves in my right leg now from the surgery and scar tissue that has to be removed from where they did the surgery in my lower lumbar. I also was in an accident in april 4 months after my neck fusion in 2016 and the discs that the first surgery were fused to are now herniated and i have a mass growing in my neck from everything tightening up to protect the spine. So my question is has anyone used soboxen and does it work?   And Can a doctor just take you off your pain meds tell you to detox and while you are are detoxing come in the office to get your script for suboxen. I have a tbi and short term memory loss due to a permanent concussion. I do not understand this and why this is happening to me. I had done biofeedback back to help with that and it is not due to taking pain meds. Is this against the law. I do not have any other psychological issues like being a danger to myself or others. I do see a counselor but its for life training to be able to learn how to deal with my memory loss and keep track of my days. This is six years on the same meds and never once asked to have it increased. This has to be against the law.

You may be showing signs of abuse and in Alabama they will do what they want to do. Due to the amount of youthful deaths in this state. Step back and ask yourself why are they doing this, it's not to hurt you b/c they are going toget paid either way. It's a way out. Here's the tricky part. One must do the subs, seek aftercare and wean themselves off within a year. Or your life as you know it will be charged to the game. Plainly you will be a zombie. After a year on subs they reformat your brain, you become a different person. Data, the hell with data. I'm educated enough and taken enough of subs to KNOW and I live in Alabamma. If you want help I can guide you toward the right people that specialize in this. Remember most doctors don't know Jack about Suboxone.
