Chest pain when swallowing

The past 2 days i've had horrid chest pains when i swallow a drink or food
This started yesterday morning when i took my first sip of coffee.
didn't really eat much today but when i got home i ate pizza for dinner and it hurt while i was eating, 2-3 hours later im sitting here with a slight pain that hasnt left my chest since i ate, it feels like its around my heart/center of chest

will my body fix this itself or should i go to a doctor soon?

Hi - just had to tell you that what you describe sounds like an esophagus problem. It could be esophagitis or something more serious. Reflux of stomach acid can inflame the esophagus and when swallowing it burns in the chest where the esophagus is.  It needs to be scoped (upper GI) to check it out. Just my thought - blessings to you.
