Not sure if you are refering to telling your regualar PCP about what has worked in the past so they can just treat you or a new PM DR what has worked.
Just dont get too ahead of yourself with thinking about the medicines a PM DR will prescribe when you finally find one.
They will get your medical records and be able to see just what has worked or not worked for you in the past and sometimes they will ask you themselves what has worked for you.
But dont let that be your one main focus when you have your first appointment. You never know what other idea they may have. PM's specialize in tons of different pain lowering procedures and medication and some do things that others dont.
Let the DR tell you what they can do for you, not what YOU want them to do for you.

I hope you find one soon who will be able to help you in lowering your pain

I am not sure I understand your last post. If the Dr. who helped you in the past has started weaning you off the meds he/she must feel like your headed toward recovery.
Now if your still having a lot of pain you should look on the Internet or maybe the yellow pages if you can't get a referral from your old Dr for PM Dr's in your area and make an appointment. Do you have your records from your last PM? If you don't you can help speed up the process by requesting a copy of your records so you will not have to wait for your new doc to get them. You will have to pay a fee to get them but it is worth it as you will have them readily available for your new doc.
Now in some states they can not give you records sent to them by other agencies so the new Dr will have to get some records from your old Dr anyways but you will have the ones you will need to get some help.
It is always a good idea to keep a copy of your own records, you can get a copy each time you visit the Dr and keep them in case you should need them in the future.
If you are still taking PT and not under a Dr's care and having a lot of pain from it, then you really need to find a Dr quickly so he can assess the situation.

Good luck

why can't I just tell the Doc whats helped in the past. That this playin it safe non-sense may help a few junkies, but I'd be better, bordering on heeled now and off all meds.iving me a dosage for an infant has minimized my ability to partake in PT and Inthe end I,ll end up takin more meds!

Call your insurance company to get a list of covered DR's in your area or just keep calling until you find a DR that has what your looking for.

You can also look on the web for PM docs in the area your looking for.

I hope you find what your looking for. I'd imagine there are a couple in N.Jersey.
