Does Fentanyl have any opioid antagonist properties?

Hello All
I was wondering if anybody else out there has had any experiences of using fentanyl patches  (especially uk durogesic and matrifen users that were previously on tilofyl or other brand gel based patches)  that have had problems with withdrawal symptoms either from faulty patches, changeing to a different patch brand or changing over from oral morphine or other strong oral opioids like oxycodone, methadone, or dipipanone ? Which brand or type works best for you ? im on the 75mcg an hour matrifen ones at the moment have been for 7 days now but have not knoticed no difference to the durogesic with them apart from the fact i still get withdrawals if i dont take at least 1 200mg mst continus tablet a day . I just find the pain releif from the patches is pathetic about 3 out of 10 considering the nhs pay 15 uk pounds for each 75mcg patch !!! for about the same price £16.50 they cud issue me with 150 10mg I/R morphine tablets every 3 days ffs!!! Not that i wuould ask for that much its just for price comparrison  !!!  very exspensive way of drug dilivery the patch is in my opinion considering atleast the last 50% of the drug WILL NOT be released from the patch transdermally !!! No wonder some heroin addicts look through the bins of known fentanyl patch patients when they are withdrawing !!! No prizes for guessing what they do with them as well !

I'm guessing by the wording and manner of speaking that MadMart is, indeed, from the UK.
I had absorption problems with the gel patches as well.  After three days there was either nothing left in the patch on day 3 or at least half a patch left.  Very spotty.  A lot of people around here find they provide great pain relief, though.  I think the preferred brand is Mylan and most of us are from the US.
