Yes, I noticed that too with Tremadol because as soon as it wears off, my bladder burns horribly worse. Celexa does the same thing. I have always wondered if sodium laural(th) sulfate stuff and the inactive ingredients was flaring it up worse.

Can you look into pelvic floor therapy (might also be called training)?
It could be a trigger. I am in the U.S. I just got a script from my doctor. My insurance covers 80% of the cost. I am sorry that some health decides what you can and cannot have.

Thanku for your reply :-) So gabbapentin could actually be some sort of trigger you think? I'll be honest, there's no point me taking any of these meds as they have zero effect to be honest!! I tried to get elmiron but was turned down by the health board for funding :-( where are you? Was it easy to get hold of for you??
I just thought of something. I have experience increase pelvic pain but the sodium laural(th) sulfate was causing me to have horrible migraines so I would not have noticed. Also I was taking the ultram and gabbapentin for something other than IC.
Can you get elmiron for your IC, that has helped mine a ton.

I did not experience increase IC pain with ultram or gabbapentin but I can tell you that both those have sodium laural(th) sulfate as an inactive ingredient and that could be the culprit. Also IC causes pelvic floor dysfunction because the continual pain causes the muscles to be in constant spasm. So that is also something you might want to research. You should see if you can find a good physical therapist that treats it. I hope this helps.
