Good days

I usually post when I'm struggling with my pain or have a question.  I've been patting pain for 16 years.  I had been in a terrible flare for nearly a year.  Nothing has changed but for the past ten days I've had minimal pain.  I can't think of anything that's been different and I'm hesitant to even say it in case I jinx myself.  I am beyond grateful for this relief whatever the reason for it is.

Wow!!! I do believe in Miracles!  So rather this is a miracle - or just a happy fact - I pray it continues.

Pain level 1 - One!! I don't think I even remember what that is like. Oh yes! Before my mesh tore, when my major source of pain was my SI Joint, I had an injection into the joint of a numbing agent. Immediately following that injection I had pain level 1, a One!  I recall laughing and dancing. The joy I felt was indescribable.

I get it. I know how you feel!  Again, I pray your one continues. ;o)

Weather is a factor for me.  The cold affects me terribly -- to the point I rarely watch my son play hockey.  Summer is usually better for me but since I had this flare nearly a year ago, I didn't get a break at all.  This took me by surprise.  I had been very down and felt like life was just so challenging.  And this is significant.  Right now I'd have to say my pain is about a 1; more stuff than anything.  Maybe I'm getting a miracle!  I had been watching the Pope and I normally don't pray for myself but I had been praying a bit because nothing was helping and I'd become so limited.  I just can't believe its been ten days.  And I've been sleeping from about 10:00 until 6:00.  I haven't slept more than two hours at a time in many years.

I wish everyone could get this kind of relief.

Wonderful News!! Thanks so much for sharing! We rarely get happy news - so special - even more so because it's you. You've struggled so long!

It could be the weather. How did you feel the last time you enjoyed weather like you're having? I'm asking cause I hope it's not the weather. Weather changes and I don't want your improvement to change! :o)

Yes, Chronic Pain is emotionally and physically draining. Some days I use all my energy just to cope with the pain. It doesn't seem right - but we all know it isn't going to be any different any time soon. Probably not in my life time.

We have to push on and find joy where we can - and your news brings me joy!! You go Girl!! Enjoy!

Blessings,
~Tuck

Thank you.  I haven't seen the doctor but if it continues, I will message him as I don't see him until November.  The first day it happened I was so aware of it.  It's been so long since I've felt this good.  I thought maybe I'll get a day or two of relief but we are going on ten days!  That is a long time.  I never even dreamed I would ever get so much relief.

I wish this for all of you as well.  It is so emotionally and physically exhausting having chronic pain.

The only thing that's different is that the humidity of summer is gone and the cold of winter hasn't set in yet.

Oh Mary, I'm so EXTREMELY HAPPY for you!!!!  YAY!!! It's about time you had some relief for your excruciating pain and all the different medical problems you've been having.  Have you seen any of your Doctor's since this has come about?  I just wondered what they said about the improvement in your pain? Whether there was any medical reason or if your body is just adjusting in some way?

Just SOOO HAPPY for you!!  I'm smiling just thinking about it.

I'm THRILLED you shared this with us.  It's about time that we had a really "feel good" Post on our Forum.  So glad it was from you.  NOW let's hope other members will start having more "less" painful days too!

As always, thinking of you and sending you
(((( HUGS ))))        .......     Sherry   :)
