I am assuming you mean your Cardiologist has refused and possible released you. Now it is time to see other doctors who deal with the aftermath of body trauma, someone who can connect you with a Physical Therapist and walk you down the road of Pain meds to OTCs. There are 3 types of pain, locational, systemic or inter-related, nerve. It will help them help you if you can clearly describe your pain, so be prepared w\ descriptions about location, duration, type etc. Different medications target these diff types of pain.  The American Chronic Pain Association - www.theacpa.org - has videos and CDs that use guided imagery to help you reduce your pain to a level that OTCs can deal with or will put your body in a relaxed state to heal. It is like pain reducing exercises - so you must do them consistently for results. A licensed Massage Therapist (LMBT) can be helpful, but it is difficult to find one that has the touch you prefer. Best wishes!
